introduction
I am currently a senior in the College of Communications at The Pennsylvania State University studying Broadcast Journalism with another major in Psychology.
I've interned at International Channel Shanghai (ICS) in Shanghai Media Group (SMG) during the Summer of 2012 in Shanghai, China. In the Vision Department, I worked for ICS's bilingual talk show, "Talk to Lei." As an editor, I wrote interview manuscripts, dictated and translated scripts in Chinese and English, edited audio and videos, and analyzed comments on multiple social network websites. I also reported on a special charity activity.
The coursework that I take at The Pennsylvania State University not only improve my ability in print, radio, and broadcast presentation, but also strengthen my editing skills, such as Final Cut, Pro Tools, etc,.
My diversity culture background also helped me develop communication skills. I was selected as a Diversity Ambassador and a Peer Mentor in the College of Communications. In this, I learnt how to promote the college to the public and help other students develop better skills in all majors in the College of Communications.
